Thursday Night Notes

fooled you!!!I knew I would be unable to go out preaching tomorrow, so I decided to squeeze in an hour and a half of street preaching tonight. I left my wife and children at our church Bible Club and made my way downtown with some Gospel tracts and a Bible sign. The market isn't as busy on Thursdays as it is on Fridays, but I still presented the Gospel to hundreds of souls. God be praised.
The response to my preaching was definitely more favorable than normal. Several people thanked me for offering them a tract and one woman walked up to me and said that she loved the verse on my sign (it was John 3:16). I gave out a fair number of tracts tonight, so please pray, dear saints of God, that the Lord will save!
I only spoke to two souls during my 90 minute blitz: a man named Jason, and a woman named Nicole. Jason introduced himself as a Christian who worked with "Inner-City Ministries". If memory serves, this ministry is pretty wishy-washy doctrinally, and how many true Christians are involved with it is a really good question. We did have a good conversation and Jason said, as he walked away, that he hoped to speak to me again soon. Soon after, I met Nicole. She was walking out of a pub when she noticed my Bible sign. She stopped in front of me and read John 3:36 to herself. She asked me if a lot of people read my sign and when I responded with an affirmative, she said: "well, that's good."
The Lord use what I was able to do tonight as He sees fit, and may He be glorified. Please remember pastor Tim tomorrow, dear brothers and sisters-in-the-Lord, as he will most likely go preach in the market himself. I will be hours away, on a special date with my tender-half... we will be celebrating our wedding anniversary.
Take care, and God bless you all, dear readers.
